DVC + Dinning + ADR

ok, I looked around here but can't find the answer. We are going to disney in Nov and staying at Old Key west as a guest of a friend that is a DVC member. He told us we would pay for the dinning plan when we checked in. Is this correct? If so can I still make ADR's at 180 days?

We are DVC members and are going in July.

We are using the dining plan and we made our reservations 180 days in advance.

As far as the dining plan goes for DVC members, you do not have to pay for the plan until you check in, but you have to add it to your reservation prior to arrival. To do this you will need to have your friend call member services and request the dining plan.
