DVC & Dining?

I don't know where exactly I should have put this post so I apologize if it is in the wrong section.

If I were to end up renting points from a DVC member, can I add the dining plan?
Would I have to also purchase the tickets separately?

Yes you can add the dining plan. You will have to arrange it through your member. You will purchase your own tickets (I get mine through mousesavers a few weeks before the trip).

AND you pay for the DDP at check in at your resort (not in advance).

We are doing this in December (renting DVC and adding the DDP). I loved the idea that I can buy my park tickets on my own now, for possible discounts and also, since we are arriving after 6PM, we can go straight to Epcot and dinner at LeCellier without having to check in first.
