Would anyone happen to know how many people would be included in the 10% dvc dining discount. My husband and I each have a card obviously but we are taking our kids and grandkids. Seven adults and 3 children plus 2 infants.
thx
From the member website: About Member Dining Discounts:
Discount is off the regular price of food and non-alcoholic beverages, excluding tax and gratuity, and is valid for the Member and up to 3 Guests, unless otherwise noted. Special events and packages excluded.
Well, I can tell you from my most recent experience (marathon weekend 2023), I booked dining reservations for 8 people (6 of the 8 were on my room stay booking) and when we ate at Chef Mickeys, Cape May Cafe and Trattoria, I showed my eligible DVC card and they applied the discount to the entire bill. My family of 3 were the only DVC members.So...I understand what the policy states on the website, but we experienced something a bit better (yah!). Hope it's the same for you!
That is likely exactly what is happening. I know the Dining Discount for table service was applied to the entire bill, as long as the DVC Member was paying when I've used it....and I've had up to 7 people including my self on a ticket. I would venture to say if you have many more people than that, though, that they'd be more likely to enforce a limit.
And one last thought, even if there is a limit on DVC dining discount (10%?) most DVC members have the Disney Visa which also has I believe a dining discount of 10% at most park locations. Or if that doesn't work then perhaps some other Disney pass, etc.
It really boils down to being to much hassle for the cast members to police given that there are so many ways to get the discount.
