Of all of the dining discounts, DVC, AP, DDP and DDE, is the prepaid DDP the only plan that is acceptable on holidays? Are any of the other plans (DVC, AP or DDE) accepted at any table service location for lunch or dinner on holidays?

:coffee: :confused3

I know the DDE and DVC card have black out dates (major holidays) not sure about the ap pass.

I know the DDE and DVC card have black out dates (major holidays) not sure about the ap pass.

DDE is blacked out on: New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Mothers Day, Easter, July 4, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

AP benefits are pretty limited: 10% off lunch at certain WDW locations, Monday-Friday only (the only park restaurants participating are at Epcot; all the others are at resorts) and various discounts for lunch and/or dinner at Downtown Disney restaurants. They don't seem to be blacked out on holidays (unless the holidays are on Saturday or Sunday).

DVC says only that the discounts are not valid on "major U.S. holidays."

By pure coincidence we rec'd the DDE card (renewal) yesterday.
The sheet we rec'd now reads (regarding holidays):
This card will not be valid Easter, Mother's Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, December 24, December 25, December 31 and January 1.
So 8 days the DDE card is specifically stating it is not good.

THERE IS NO DISCOUNTS GIVEN ON HOLIDAYS, NOT EVEN CAST MEMBERS GET DISCOUNTS, SOME HOLIDAYS THE DDE WORKS BUT MOST MAJOR HOLIDAYS IS DISCOUNT FREE.

We had dinner at Artist Point of Christmas Day 2005 and were given the DVC discount. We didn't think it was good for a holiday, but we asked and they said "Yes". Nice surprise.
