When I called Member Services they told me that the DDP price is contracted for the calendar year, so they are exempt from price increases for that particular year.
Is this correct? If so, what are the current rates per person per day for the regular plan (1 QS, 1 TS, 1 snack and mug) because I though prices went up in March 2016.
Thanks!!

Yes this has always been the case.

The current rates are on your member website. I get them my going into a reservation and clicking DDP

Thank you SO much! We have not done the DDP for quite some time, and I had forgotten some of the details for DVC.

I believe only if staying on a reservation booked through your DVC membership (using points or the cash rate for a DVC resort booked through DVC member services) as you can only add it by calling member services or online through the "upcoming reservations section" on the DVCmember website.

We have never used the DDP. Question? Are the meals tracked per person or by the travel party?

So does that mean one person can cover the entire group even if they aren't on the plan? I was thinking you can take guests, correct?
When they made changes to the dining plan a while back (changing what a "snack" could be used to purchase, converting meals to snacks, etc) they also had said you could use the plan to pay for a guest not staying in the room the credits were assigned to but I haven't actually done it myself.

Yes. If you have 8 credits you can buy dinner for 8 instead of 8 nights of dinner for 1.

I did it. My son was confused about meals he took alone and as a result we had a couple left over credits at the end of our trip. We bought dinner for a table of strangers.

What a pleasant surprise for them! We used to do that with the paper Fast Passes! Creating a little Disney magic of our own...

Thanks!! Great to know we can pay for our guests who aren't on the plan!
