For those of you that have been on a DVC Cruise, can you give me the rundown?

How many points was it?
How long/where did you go?
Can only DVC members go on it?
What kinds of gifts did you receive?
What kinds of activities were there?
Is it usually at the same time every year?

Look at the normal # of points it would take the week before & week after, then add at least 10% (or more) more. You're paying for those "gifts" they give you. The gift vary year by year, and you have to be a member too book it. Nonmembers can attend, using members points. The last couple of years it's been in the Fall - that's low season, which makes sense. They are less likely to pull the ship out of service for a chartered cruise during a more popular season. It's always been the 4-night cruise, but sometimes they add a 2nd day at Castaway Cay in place of the sea day. Activities are basically the same on every cruise.

Please keep in mind this years DVC Member Cruise is sold out, and nothing has been announced yet for 2009. It is a bit early now, but we'll post as soon as anything is firmed up (if at all) for next year.
