DVC contact help!

Hello all, I think I am FINALLY ready to dive in. Thanks to EVERYONE out here for making this VERY intimidating purchase a little easier to swallow.

So I went to call my sales rep today and he is off until Tuesday I obviously can’t wait for him and miss the incentive so I figured I would give the DVC MS # a try that I found out here on DIS. I got a recording that the offices are closed on Sundays. Is this true? Doesn’t anybody want my $20k?

I was actually looking for the phone number of Todd Bearden. It looks like a lot of people have had great luck with him, but with this much time left in the game I will take anyone who can get the wheel in motion.

Yes they do, but just like many other business they have days they are closed, and employees are given days off from time to time.

Correct, MS is open 7 days a week now, excluding holidays. It's the sales office that might be closed on Sundays (except for the Sales office at SSR). Have you tried calling SSR and seeing if they will connect you?

Thats odd, the phone number I found on the board was 1-800-800-????. It was just a recording when I called.

But Ted hooked me up with a VERY friendly rep. Since I had already done a lot of research on DVC the MR spent most of the time telling me stories about his DVC trips. Anyway, we made the plunge and were officially "welcomed home".

Now how do I get one of those nifty AKV tags in my signature?

Right click the picture of the AKV image in my signature, then select properties, copy the URL of the image that is shown on the screen...Next go to USER CP at the top of the DIS screen, click edit signature, then click the icon that looks like a picture of a landscape, then paste the URL you copied from properties.

So I got the same recording today too. I was given a number for a guy from someone here on the board and left a msg there also, unreturned. I was planning to join in today also.

Wonder if anyone is up this late? I guess I will try tmw since its the deadline...

when we bought the incentives ended on our guides off day. he said as long as we left him a message that we wanted to buy, they would honor the incentive since the voice mails are date & time stamped

We have never talked to anyone. We actually avoided them last week while at Disney. I know we are bad, but I didn't want to waste my trip on that.

Now that we are gone I have time to deal with it. "technically" we have never talked to anyone. We have just researched and researched and talked to those that belong.

We will see if the guy we called returns our call tmw. Our friend has a guy she recommended, but she doesn't have his direct line. I will call and ask for him in the am....

I guess we are an easy sell. We have considered this for almost 2 yrs. We have just *really* been considering it the past 2 months. We left Disney and went to visit family. The family member we are visiting actually suggested we check into it. We told him we had, but with the initial costs we just hadn't decided we wanted it *that* much. He mmediately offered to pay our up front expenses. My daughter (special needs) ADORES Disney and he *adores* her. So he wanted her to have something special. A place to feel "normal". Ok, you want to pay up front costs, we can make it work on the current promo! How much better can it get? Maybe some people have too much money sitting around in the bank. Are we terrible for taking the money?

We did the same thing. We went to Disney for the first time in September. Until then we never heard of Disney's best kept secret. We were on the Boardwalk and stopped in the model DVC to cool off more then anything. The DVC CM talked to us for about an hour, no pressure, just talking (in the nice AC). I scheduled a DVC tour the next morning, then later on canceled because we wanted to enjoy our first Disney vacation and not have to wake up early for a tour. I also knew I could do more research online then what I could learn there.

And there is no reason at all to feel guilty. I believe karma is a powerful thing. You get what you have coming to you. Go to Disney and enjoy GUILT FREE!
