The loss of the Spa takes away some of the theming of the resort.

If there are no plans to re-open the Spa, can SSR owners request to change the name from "Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa" to "Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort" ?

Update: Scratch what I have said. The offical name does NOT include “& Spa”.

I was mistaken! It’s simply “Saratoga Springs Resort”.

I don’t know. It just seems strange that RIV owners received notice and no one else has.

There was something in the email about an election of board of directors. Maybe only Riviera has that? My wife hasn't received an email for OKW either

All associations have to vote on board of directors. It is strange.

The only thing I can think of is that the RIV info went out too early.

That was my thought as well. It's the first time slot so it went out and DVC said whoops!

I will be there for the RIV meeting, I do not know if I will stay for BW but it depends on weather and what the family plans.

There is nothing to change. It’s offical name does not include the spa.

Unless you mean change the description? Then yes, IT should update that.

I kind of like that its by disney springs and the golf courses in case we want that kind of a trip, but I havent been there yet so maybe ill feel differently once we go

@Sandisw is correct the Spa is not actually part of the official name on paper but it sure is plastered all over the resort signage, merch, MDE, DVC and WDW sites.

It really is a shame that it has never reopened. I thought it was better than the one at Grand Floridian

Its a huge selling point, I would actually book a stay there and be happy about it if they reopened it. I think ill put that in my next survey

I think Vero Beach, Aulani, and Grand Floridian are the only ones with spas...

I've used the spa at Vero... It is "fine", it is also relatively affordable...

I prefer the Senses spas on DCL...

Which is why they probably are not going to do it.

They said there are no plans at this time to reopen but that doesn’t mean they can’t reopen if that changes.

I just didn’t know what they we referring to which is why I mentioned it. .
