Airline changed my flight, and we are leaving a day earlier. There ISN'T a single unit available..any resort, any room size..for DVC. I am on the wait list, but going to look for a cash reservation.:scared1:

When your waitlist expires I would call every day to see if something opens up. I did this and I called twice a day once in the morning and once in the late afternoon. I was able to get a room the day before we left. If you cant get a DVC room try the value resort for one night. they really are not that bad of a one night stay.

That is really a tough one. I kept watching and praying that my August flights were not changed.

They did that to me when I was traveling last year in Feb to see my parents in Florida so I did not want it to happen for the Disney trip.

Hope something comes in soon.

I didn't know the airlines could change the day of your flight. I fly out of Chicago and have never had this happen. Maybe if you told MS your predicament they could finagle something.

Wow I can't believe the airline changed your flight to a whole day earlier. I didn't even know they could do that. If you couldn't tell I don't fly often lol. I was also going to suggest try booking a night at a value resort as a back up and call MS everyday to see if something opens up. Good Luck :).

It may not be that the changed the day of the flight, but the time in a way that made it a disadvantage to still fly that day so OP opted to go a day early.

That is what happened to us in February. We were scheduled to leave at 7:00 am and they changed it until 2:15 pm. They then also changed my return flight from 7:15 pm to 2:47 pm.

Basically, with both changes, I lost an entire day of time so when I called, they allowed me to change my return day to the next day without any charges.

Waitlist, stay off-site for a day, stay at a value for a day, don't panic, all is not lost!

I've had my flight cancelled, postponed, redirected & my luggage lost but I've never had a flight pushed up a day, now that's a new one! I work till the last minute, have pets that need to be cared for and that absolutely would not work for at all!

Good luck to you!

It was either, change the day, arrive late afternoon and/or lose the nonstop. Also, it would cost us our Le Cellier ressie. We are traveling with an infant and an elderly adult, who has limited mobility. Traveling all day wasn't an option.

I'm going to bet your airline was Delta. HATE that company because they have changed every flight I've booked with them.

I agree that the best is to remain on the waitlist and then book a value as a backup. We had to do that once, and it worked out fine. The value was only for a night, and we put our things for that night in a small carry on case.

Can I get a woot woot! Delta continues to get my business because I'm an elite flier with them (thanks work). That's the only reason why. Otherwise Sun Country and/or Southwest would be my preference (including terminal location). We've tried to take the 7pm flight to Orlando and/or Tampa several times and it's always delayed somehow. We've arrived as early as 2:00am and as late as 4:30am on a flight that should arrive at 11pm.

To be fair, the last time, Delta did let us us change to a day earlier flight due to a weather waiver, so getting in at 4:30am was better than what happened to our original flight (cancelation).

You would win that bet. I had two vacations affected in one phone call. The agent, accidentally, released my seats for my December trip. I've had it booked (FF miles) since the first available date. Now, we're on a 9.5 hour flight..middle row.

It gets better, my October Fantasmic ressie, was booked for July. Yep, I missed it.: Of course, I'm also, thrilled about the monorail.;)

I'm a nobody with Southwest and use them maybe 4 times a year and they have never changed any of our flights. Something to think about. :goodvibes

Delta has us at their mercy...and we don't have Southwest.
get a value NOW - food/wine festavial going on - that is pretty popular.

I booked a villa...and hoping for the best. We've done F&W for years, and have added on or changed, without a problem. I guess, it just surprised me..NOTHING, ANYWHERE..NOT ONE ROOM.
