Given that I'm quick to share my complaints about Disney Dining, it's only appropriate I share my compliments too!

While booking a Grand Villa for the family to stay in prior to the cruise in August, I asked her on the spur of the moment to check and see if there was anything available for this coming weekend. :teeth:

YEPPER!!!!! We are staying at OKW for the weekend! Cool, huh? :teeth:

Gotta love that DVC. :teeth:

AWESOME!

And yes, we love DVC!

Where are you booking the Grand Villa? We LOVED the one we rented for the wedding. So much space to spread out and be comfortable!

We booked the Grand Villa at OKW as it is our home resort and an easy walk (or ferry or bus ride) to DTD where the majority of them will probably go for the evening. Well, that is they'll want to go until they find out that PI is essentially a parking lot now. :(

But the villa will be great. OKW has beautiful GVs that are two story.

You did a GV at Boardwalk, didn't you? Or, am I remembering incorrectly?

Yep. We did the GV at the Boardwalk. All one level (no stairs-which are a problem for a few people in my family) and the balcony that ran the length of the suite (approx the length of six studio sized villas) overlooking the boardwalk and the lake, with a view of Illuminations at night.

IT ROCKED! :yay:

I wanna buy DVC SOOOOOOOOOOOO bad!! We're waiting till next year and I'm holdin' her to it! Enjoy your trip!!:banana:

Wow. Sounds wicked Rob!!! ::yes::

Although, OKW is beautiful (the golf course running through parts of it helps) there isn't a real view of the parks at all. If you are near the Hospitality House you can see some of the fireworks, but that is it.

We bought into DVC when we lived in the northeast. When we moved here I mentioned selling it and was met with a resounding NO!!! I still have some hearing loss in my right ear as a result. :upsidedow

We get our use out of it every single year. ::yes::

We gave one year's use points to a family member so she could celebrate her graduation at WDW, and this year we did the grand villa thing for the family, so the points are never sitting idle for too long. :teeth:

If you plan on doing Disney at least once every 2-3 years, DVC is a good idea for you, so the generalization used to go.

Take care all. I'm off to NC for the rest of the week, so will touch base once we've returned home after the weekend! :teeth:
