Can you tell it is Saturday night!!! :rotfl2:

We are flyig in this August & not renting a car so we will need to bring our "adult beverage mixers" in our luggage (unless someone has a better idea!)

Usually I just bring wine & pick some some beer at the gas station near DTD, but DH wants fun, frou-frou drinks. What do you all bring to DVC, how do you bring them to DVC if you are flying, how do you enjoy them at the pools & what is your favorite cocktail?

:3dglasses :stir: :drinking1

I get groceries delivered from Garden Grocer so we get our stuff that way. My favorite WDW drink is vodka and pink lemonade.

Forgot to add we use waterpark refillable mugs at the pool. Also I would never pack liquid (alcohol or mixers) in my luggage. If it leaked or broke, I'd ruin my stuff and everyone else's in neighboring luggage.

If you aren't that picky, Crystal Light works well. Easy to transport, tasty, and low calorie to boot! Of course, it requires a bit of homework on your part. Be sure to figure out what you like before you go (I know, homework's a <pain>, isn't it?)

It all depends upon what you like. You can be simple (Vodka + just about anything) or fancy (Malibu + Crystal Light Strawberry Orange Banana).

If you want to get really fancy, mousekeeping will bring a blender if you ask. And no matter what, get a package of paper umbrellas to bring with you.

As for the booze, pack carefully and double bag. Shouldn't be a problem.

We make margarita. We have brought plastic bottles of tequilla, limes and margarita mix in our luggage. We wrap it in bubble wrap, wrap it in a hand towel and put it in 2 or 3 large zip lock bags. One time we went to the liquor store near Goodings to buy the tequilla - but that was a huge pain. The didn't have a good selection, you have to ask at the service desk to have someone open the store. This year I may try buying tequilla at the resort and have the mix delivered with the groceries.

We use a sport water bottle as the shaker. We fill our our refillable mugs for the pool and we make another batch in the water bottle for refills at the pool. In the room we use wine glasses for the margaritas.

Easy and fun DVC drinks!

I have packed alcohol numerous times without incident. I wrap it in bubble wrap and then put it into two giant ziploc bags. Having written that I won't pack alcohol again now that I've used WEGO shop. Had them pick up food and alcohol for us last month. The liquor store they used had low prices...someplace in Kissimmee....I have the receipt and will shop there in the future.

Thanks for all the suggestions - please keep them coming!

Am I blind? I have looked at both WEGO & Garden Grocer, but do not see their alcohol sizes or prices. Please point me in the correct direction.

Those flasks look good!

Garden grocer doesn't list alcohol, but you can request it on their special requests. Just list what you would like and they will stop and get it for you as well. We had them get us beer and wine last time along with our groceries.

 We always go to the pool with our refillable mugs filled with alcohol. I didn't realize so many other people did it too!

:rotfl:Us too! I had no idea other people were doing it, I always felt bad, like I was doing something wrong. LOL

I've brought sugar free Baja Bob's margarita mixes. They have some single use packets like the koolaid.

That's why the water park mugs are so much better. They are twice the size; less need to run back to the room. :rotfl2:

We stick to basics. We have some coke delivered and some Jack.

Since its August and you are looking specifically for frou frou - have garden grocer deliver some ice cream. Chocolate ice cream and Baileys or Amererto. Lemon sherbet and vodka. If there isn't a blender in your room, housekeeping will bring one.

sammi6-LOL! I always feel bad too! I always think, look at all these mom and dads drinking soda, and we're drinking vodka & cranberry!

pakey-The hike from the pool back to the room stinks!

Sounds like some goood drink ideas.. I'm glad so many people are honest about bringing drinks to the pool.. I thought I was the only one sneaking my own drinks to the pool in my giant waterbottle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We started to make our own drinks in the room and bring them to the pool in mugs and a few water bottles. On one trip DH and I could not believe how much those drinks at the pool add up to.. It will be just DH and I in a few days so I am planning out my drinks to make. We have a car so we can get to the store for supplies if need be. In June kids will be with us. Both of legal age. DD does not drink. So then it's bringing soda, drinks and beer. It is never simple. I do like to get my drinks at Epcot, so it does save to make your own at the pool.

Does anybody know the prices of Tequila in the Mexico pavillion in Epcot?
