DVC cash reservations

Any information will be appreciated. Can you get a DVC discounted cash reservation for 5 nights at a moderate Disney Hotel (eg. Port Orleans) from Member Services? Thanks for your replies in advance.

the DVC cash discount is only for the DVC resorts.

if you have an annual pass then you can through

Just to be clear, to see if there are any AP/PAP discounted rooms available for your dates, you have to call CRO/WDWTC. MS does not make cash reservations for non-DVC resorts.

Should I call again? I had enough points to stay for 2 nights there but I'm paying cash for the remaining 6 nights. Hope they gave me the right information?

Let me get this straight...they told you if you called DVC MS, they can get you 25% off a non-DVC resort room? Specifically, POFQ? Or did they mean you'd get 25% off your DVC cash-portion 2BR reservation?

Boy did they get that WRONG.

I would check on it - the MS might have made reservations at VWL instead of POFQ - check it.

now for your 2-bedroom villa at VWL - yes you are definitely entitled to the 25% off of your 6 nights. Although I might look here and see about renting someone points for Sun-thurs you would probably be better off - not fri or sat.

Just keep in mind that they don't always have the discounted villas available. It depends on inventory.

We wanted a studio at VWL for this August, but they didn't have it available at a discount. Right now we're at BCV in a discounted studio.

We got it for $229/night

$340.08/night regular price

$111.08/night savings

One point about the cash DVC rooms. The member must stay in that room. No member in the room, technically, you can't get the member discount.

LOL...I just called today to make a cash ressie for June, and I wanted BCV or BWV, but they didn't have the discount rooms available for my dates...so we booked VWL.
