DVC canvas bags

Hello neighbors

Just returned from WDW.....we stayed at OKW, but used the pool, spa and fitness center everyday! Our home resort is BCVs, but considering making each stay at SSprings, whenever possible. We LOVED it!

Anyway, I'm trying to find the DVC member canvas bag. WDW no longer has any. I've checked e-bay and can't find any available there either. If you have one (new), I would love to buy it from you.

I wonder why they stopped making them?? With all of the new folks joining DVC and the resale market as hot as it is, you would think selling DVC logo merchandise wouldn't be a problem... I knw on my first visit, I'll be looking for a few pieces myself...

Since you visited OKW, I guess the gift shop there must have gotten rid of their supply of canvas bags -they even had a zipper on top to close them. They were still around during our April visit.

I got mine off Ebay and have not used it yet. Can't recall what I paid for it. What I have not been able to get yet is a BWV litho, any chance you have an extra one of those to swap for the bag?

The description says "made of a durable plastic/nylon" The one I got from Ebay is canvas and does zip closed at the top. But this one does look nice.

Yes, you are correct-that is not the same one that I'm looking for. I was considering it, but I'm not sure if I like the color.

We were just at OKW this weekend and they just sold their last canvas bag earlier in the week. A lot of the "old" DVC merchandise was discounted. My guess is they are bringing in new merchandise. What we saw at Saratoga Springs didn't impress me much. They did have a women's sleevless chambray shirt which was nice.

I would really LOVE to have the canvas bag, a white t-shirt with the DVC logo and it's natural colors. I don't care much for the taupe/tan merchandise with navy lettering. They have a duffle-like bag which is navy with taupe lettering. It is all so generic looking. A beach towel would be great too!!

If you come across another bag, please let me know.

I was just at OKW last night---also looking for DVC canvas bag, DVC "logo" tshirt, DVC lanyard and "logo" pin. I was told that as soon as they got the logo stuff in, it sold, however, for reasons unbeknownst to CMs, they are discontinuing quite a few of the products. I saw a couple styles of shirts discounted. Personally, I haven't seen ANY of the new stuff that appeals to me. And the lack of mdse. at BCV is still disheartening.

There are actually 2 different DVC canvas bags (that I know of anyway). One was fairly large with blue handles and blue trim. The other was a smaller back that zipped shut and had a pocket on the side. We received one when we got our paperwork to buy. We received the other once we had closed.

We got a second BWV Litho when we added on a few points thru DVC. Of course, we traded it to another member a few months back; the other member was very excited about it.
Maybe you could get one by doing a small add-on thru DVC? Perhaps for as little as 25 pts, times $84 per pt = $2100.
So $2100 should buy you that litho, plus you'll have those extra points to use

Does anyone else think that BWV picture would be so much more attractive without the giant yellow DVC bus in the center of it?

When we were at OKW in mid-March for Spring Break, they had lots of goodies on clearance. I bought the canvas bag for $14.99 and couldn't resist the price, so I got one for Mom, too. There were also clearance prices on some nice DVC Tshirts. I was sure that by NOW, new stuff would have arrived. But they were obviously clearing out the older merchandise.

I think DVC may be using new bags. The one we got when we joined in April was more of a back pack. It does not sound like the way they used to be. So, it is possible that they stopped making them the other way.

The one with the yellow bus parked out in front of the Broardwalk archway is not the DVC BWV litho. The one I wanted and finally got is a scene from the water looking onto the Boardwalk itself.
