Would you say the best strategy is to wait until well after the trip to activate it? That way your 30-day window starts and ends as late as possible, possibly covering another trip

Yes, it’s your best strategy, but that means not downloading even one photo to share with anyone or use as wallpaper or anything else, and I don’t think I could wait that long! Good luck!

So I I am on a solo trip this month and do not care about the photos but I have a december trip that I want to use it.

Is it a per trip or once per year

If it is once per year , Can I just wait until my December trip to activate it?

When you activate it you can use it for 30 days.

I assume that any picture that is not expired by the time of activation can now be downloaded.

It’s not once a “per trip” or “per year” thing. It’s a you get a memory maker for 30 days once thing.
