David's had its upsides - it's one of the few agents that will take points from a non-US owner (presumably because they are based in Canada and not subect to the same laws as the agents in the US), but the downside for me is that they will only pay via PayPal when a bank transfer would be much easier for me. I'm now considering renting out directly. I was intending to "split" the $4.50 spread between myself and the renter so that we both benefit from entering into a private transaction. I'm intending to give it a go for the next 6-8 weeks and if it hasn't worked out by then to switch back to David's.
