DVc booking questing waitlist

If I book 2 nights, but only the first night is available. Does the second night automatically go as a waitlist?

When I’m doing this online?

Or do I have to go in and create a waitlist for the second night? Thank you.

No. You only booked one night. The other night must be an explicit waitlist. And then you'll likely have to call to get them linked when/if the waitlist comes thru.

Once you waitlist and it comes through, MS can merge them into one reservation as long as they are part of the same membership.

But, as mentioned, you have to set it up for night 2 if all you booked was night 1.

The last page mentioned - if you have multiple waitlists for the same

so then I was puzzled.

I just did this for the first time and also had some worries.
There was such limited availability for the dates we wanted to go, I booked 2 nights at SSR preferred studio, then one night at RIV standard studio, then one night at BRV 1 BR. I then put in for waitlist request for that last night for RIV studio so we wouldn't have to move twice and it would be less points. I didn't think I was going to get it because of how booked everything is, but did get it on Friday. However, I had called when I put in the waitlist request to make sure if I did get it the 2 RIV reservations would be merged into one and it was not done that way. I called today and they took care of it. The CM today was so helpful!
