I am at this board 90% of the time. Every now and then I like to stray and see what is going on elsewhere in the community. What I have found is that most seem to not even like Disney. All they do is complain about how Disney does things and how other parks are doing it better.

I find that the DVC'er at DIS are generally friendly people that want to help each other and make everyone's Disney experience better.

I love Disney and DVC.

I am just like you SimbaNoodle! I don't know if the DVC Board is the best board, but it has the best people!! Not to mention the wealth of accurate information on the DVC.

I agree. You have to figure that those people who constantly complain about Disney must complain about everything in just about every aspect of their lives. What other company has gone to so much trouble to make things "magical"? Just goes to show you can't please everyone. It's nice to know that there are so many people who do see the value and the uniqueness of a Disney experience!

I'm okay with legitimate complaints and concerns but the folks who seem to go into their vacations looking for problems to turn around and try to turn into "refunds" or special treatment gets tiresome. I think most of us have had so many great vacations at WDW/DVC that we recognize that if something goes wrong it's a mistake and that it is usually fixed promptly. Disney used to have more leeway to make decisions. Now, everything they do gets broadcast over the Internet and there's a line yelling "me too". ;)

This board is great. We pretty much stay on topic and are able to share information that has real value. The other boards can be fun, but I find this one extremely useful as well.

I don't get the same impression on the other boards. In fact, I think most people who post are pro-Disney and really enjoy everything else Orlando has to offer...except a few "bargain hunters" who go absolutely the cheapest way possible who feel Disney is overpriced. I'm not talking about normal 'bargain hunters" like the rest of us, I am talking about people who cram a family of 7 in a Motel 6 room and eat beef jerky all day to avoid paying for meals. You know the type.

I've never even been on another board since I found this one. I find everything I need to know right here, and then some. If you find a good thing, stick with it. Like Disney vacations. There are plenty of other places to visit in this world (heck, in this country for that matter), but I've found I like Disney, and unless or until I get tired of it, I'm gonna stick with it! I guess I'm just a "home"-body.;)

It takes alot of energy to either praise or complain.

People are usually only willing to expend that energy when they are mad at someone or something and want to complain.

If you every try to find about something and use the internet as your method it is usually a challenge to find anything positive. Only the complainers take the time to tell the world.

The people who had a good experience don't even think twice about talking the time to tell the world, at least usually.
