DVC benefits for II exchange?

I checked my cc statement and I have only been charged the $129 resort fee! Thanks Dean for bringing this to my attention! I haven't received a confirmation from OKW yet. Is it to early to expect this? (Jan 7 - 14)

Hopefully we will be able to exchange again as easily. It's only DH and myself so we only need a 1BR (or even a studio) and we usually like to go when WDW is less crowded so it sounds like we might be in luck. If not we will be thinking of changing!
You will get a confirmation for OKW from II but will get nothing from DVC directly. It should have the phone number and info you will need to pay the fee and make any dining reservations or requests. II has started sending many of them by email, if you elected to receive it by snail mail, it will be around a week or so. While you can check much of the info online at II, I don't think they store the actual confirmation there.

I think you can also pay the $95 at checkin but would have some concern waiting until then.

...talked us into spending more and getting causeway during a red week! So now you're saying that we might not be so lucky with our more 'desireable' (read - expensive) week!

Just an FYI... exchangers do NOT need to own at a resort included on the DVC exchange list. Any high quality resort that trades through II could potentially trade into DVC (most likely trade periods listed in above posts). Switching your ownership between two high quality II resorts did not help nor hurt your chances of trading into DVC. Certainly, if you got a more desirable week (check-in date), then it may actually help a bit.

(I was surprised to see that TUG's review listing for Causeway does not mention that it trades through both RCI and II - which it does.)

I would agree with Lisa with one caveat. Expensive, even red time, frequently does not equal high demand. Most expensive weeks and resorts are not high demand and many high demand resorts/weeks are not that expensive.
