DVC bank, borrow question

New to DVC, bought resale at Aulani. We just used points that we had on the contract when we purchased and had to borrow some from 2023. Leaving us with 36pts left for 2023.

We are planning another Aulani trip in 2025. We have a 50 pt contract with a use year of June. We just got our 2023 points this last week, so here is my question to make sure I am understanding this correctly.

If we were to bank the 2023 (36) points, we would have to use them by May 31st of 2024. In order to have the most points to use for out 2025 trip, we should wait until June 1st of 2025 to take the trip.

Bank 2024 into 2025, use 2025 and borrow from 2026? Am I figuring out the dates correctly with the banking, borrowing and use year?

Everything is based on the UY in which you travel so a trip in your 2025 UY, which is after June first, can be booked with banked 2024, 2025, and borrowed 2026…total of 150.

If you book during your 2024 UY..which includes Jan to May 2025 travel, you’d have 36 banked from 2023, 50 2024, and 50 borrowed from 2025 for a total of 136.
