DVC Availability for 50th

I've been debating internally on whether it will be more crowded in the days leading up to or after 10/1/21. I think this answered that question. Before will be quieter, and more preferable providing one doesn't mind the uptick in guests as the Anniversary day approaches.
We originally planned to be there at our usual fall time of mid-October, but I think it is going to be a clusterfrak with fall breaks, Columbus Day crowds, Canadian Thanksgiving crowds, rescheduled 2020 bookings, AND the 50th festivities, so we decided at the last minute a few days ago to switch to the last week of September through October 4th. I am still struggling with trying to predict whether it will be just as busy then as it would have been on our rescheduled trip.

Not concerned about any of this, as WDW no longer exists. Having FIRED just about everyone?
When there is a real park, WDW gets money. 50th? Crickets, for us. Betting bankruptcy occurs first.

No parks? No Money. Have a great 50th :(.

"All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong."

The good thing is it’s speculative for my DD and her boyfriend who may want to go next year in early October...so I am booking at BLT and RIV for now until they decide in the Spring.
If you need bigger than a studio for Riv you should be fine. Last I saw dedicated one and two bedrooms were available

I'm getting a bit worried about our trip. We got the dates we wanted right at 0800 last November no problem. We canceled that Oct trip due to Covid and me being an RN who occasionally worked the covid floor thinking we will just do Oct 2021. I'm thinking this may have been a big mistake. We are Poly owners, and planned on staying there.

I hope you get what you want. pixiedust:

Thank you for doing such a difficult job.

Thank you! I am very fortunate that my tiny hospital is in a more affluent neighborhood and our numbers have been down since summer. I have friends at the bigger hospitals and they haven't been so lucky.
