DVC at Contemporary?

Any more news on this? I was checking out some other discussion boards and it appears as though the north wing will be DVC...

We were there in late September and took the boat back to our resort at the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge and had a first hand look at the construction. The whole wing is being renovated so I think it is a definate possibility. It looks like they are pulling every room apart right down to the substructure, so we can hope.

rgilmour, are you sure you're not referring to the construction on the South Garden Wing, which is being renovated (and is closer to the boat launch route)?

The Contemporary is currently renovating its rooms to make them a little more 'contemporary.' There's been no announcement (that I've heard) about DVC, but it is a persistant rumor. I'd put money on it happening sometime, but not on exactly when.

I had the pleasure of staying on the Concierge floor one night last December. The DVC rumors were flying even back then, so I asked about the consierge it. He confirmed the rumor, as well as several others regarding the Contemp's uncoming rehab. Now I realize that cast members are not the most reliable sources for Disney news, but everything thing else he told me proved to be very accurate, so I am thinking that the Vacation Club rumor has some truth to it.
