DVC AP's ouch

As a family of 5 who usually purchase PaPs we are saving quite a bit with the DVC discount. I bought in at the right time! Now if they could just add the dining plan it would be perfect!! well near enough.;)

I'd like to make a suggestion to anyone out there this may apply to...
Our DD princess: is now three years old and looks every bit of three to us. We bit the bullet at three years and four months to get her an AP. We wish we hadn't. Although we know we will have her back soon (May), we were there in November and again in January and both times we practically had to beg the turnstille worker to make her use her pass. They were just ready to assume she was under three. Again, she looks every bit of three. The reason we were so upset is that we paid for something that we thought would be scrutinized more closely. If we had her in her stroller we could have gone in and out over and over and never questioned. Then we could have waited until this coming May to finally get hers. Even if we stopped a couple of times we could have bought a door admission.
Moral of the story, don't rush out to but an AP as their third birthday gift. Especially if you are visiting around that date. This is merely my opinion.
You shouldn't be upset. You were doing the right thing. Even if the CM's were willing to give you a break, you were following the rules. Nothing to get upset about there! :)

We opted to buy an AP for myself and then 10 MYW passes for the rest of the family.

Although we spend over 10 days a year at WDW, we dont always go to the parks. The tickets should last for 3 or 4 trips spanning 16-18 months.

I love this new ticketing system. But it still hurts the wallet.

HBC... all adult tickets... ouch.

Got my vouchers today! :cool1:

A LOT of money for 3 pieces of plastic...
But it's all worth it once we pass through that turnstile! :wizard:

Next year my oldest heads off to college, so we'll stop buying her an AP but we'll start paying tuition. Double ouch!

We always buy our AP's to get two summer trips out of them. Last summer we went in July, used them for 9 days. This summer we will be going the end of May into June and will get as many as 14 more days out of them depending on how many days we go into the parks. It's definitely worth it to us.

Then our next tickets will be bought for our summer trip in 06 and we will go late enough to be able to do our 07 trip on them too. I'm also hoping that for Christmas 06 we can go for my youngests birthday finally and we will get even more days out of them.
