DVC Apparel and other stuff?

Over the last 9 years of being an owner I've gotten a lot of free DVC items from DVC. When I first joined it was during the pin trading craze and they gave me a bunch of pins, every so often I get pins, pictures, lithographs in the mail, while on the Disney cruise last year I got a cool magnet that was on my door that shows I was a DVC member plus there was a package full of dvc goodies in the room which included dvc lanyards and some other stuff, I attended the dvc member mtg on the cruise and got another bag full of goodies (hats, coloring book/crayons, pins, more lanyards, note pads) plus I won a really cool beach blanket that stakes into the ground and has a bag to stow it all in. When I bought some additional points they sent me a really nice dvc canvas bag. A few months back dvc came to Boston for a DVC member party and while there they gave out special dvc mickey ears, coloring books/crayons, luggage tags, plane ticket holder, portfolios and pens. I just love getting big packages from DVC cause they almost always have a nice surprise inside! Whenever you can attend one of their mtgs and you’ll be amazed what you’ll get. I'm sure there is stuff I'm forgetting, but if you are new, just wait, little by little the dvc freebies will come.

I would really love to have the cooler bag that you could win on our last cruise. I have looked in all of the stores at the resorts, but no luck. I am tempted to give my guide a call. I wish I had his e-mail address.

DH wears the DVC hat that I got after a Welcome Home Wednesday. He's bought 2 DVC polos, VWL which is light tan, and BWV white with blue trim. They don't scream DVC, but interestingly enough, many people read and comment on those shirts. We've even been in Dollywood and our server noticed that he supports the competition! DH was embarassed, he wears the shirt because he likes it and Dollywood doesn't sell a man's polo, they just have tees. However, he's going to be more careful of what he wears during out next visit there.

Join in on Welcome Home Wednesdays. Upon exit you will get a non-resort oriented hat, or other such nice thing.

Other threads have commented on WHWs so be sure to look them up.

DVC is one great gal to experience - corny maybe, but definately the embodiment of the DVC spirit!

We went to our first WHW this past July and got those red hats! I've never been a big fan of wearing hats but I wear that darn hat ALL the time now!!
Also, DeveeCee is a hoot!! She found out we are from O-H-I-O and razzed us some found out she is also from OH

The gift shop at the Wilderness Lodge is great! It is by far the largest I have seen, with many choices of t-shirts, sweats, pants, shorts, etc. plus knick knacks and lots of food. I loved shopping in there!!!

WL is where I got my 2 favorite DVC t-shirts. They are also at AKV. They are blue and have the dvc logo on the front. You notice I said: "2 favorite" shirts...well I bought one for me and one for DH. I hijacked his and now I have 2 of them One to wear while the other is washing. I bought those a year ago and they still wear nicely

We also got a nice ornament from VWL and decals for our cars...you know we gotta "represent!!!"
