Sorry if it has been posted before.

I currently have a DVC AP that expires in a couple of weeks. I know I can renew it and get 15months.

My question is if I choose not to renew, but purchase a new pass when I go in March, do you also receive the 15months or is it JUST renewals?

Basically if I renew, my pass would be good to Feb 2011. If a new purchase only gets me 12 months then buying in May of 2010 only gets me 1 extra month on my pass but costs me more (would save about $150 by renewing). For 1 month, I would probably opt to renew and save the $$ but if the new pass is also good for 15 months, then I'll wait.

Thanks

The 15 month pass is only on renewals and must be done within 30 days (before or after) the expiration date of the original AP. I think there are some FL Res passes which can be purchased with the 15 month benefit, but the regular AP with the DVC dicsount is only on renewals.

Since this went into effect August 2nd, i guess when i renewed our APs on July 22nd, we did not get the 15 month benefit.

We go down every year around the same time. If we had the 15 month benefit, we would not have to renew until next year's trip was already over. This would also make it NOT within the 30 days of the original renewal date.

So, now... if I didn't renew with the 30 days of the original start date of the AP, when I go to renew my AP the next year, that one will only be for 12 months, right?

Seems like one year you might get 2 years worth of trips out of the AP, if you vacation every year around the same time like we do, and then the next year you would not.

It all seems very confusing.
