My platinum pass AP will expire soon, and MDE says the renewal price is $721 (before tax). I was told when I purchased DVC that we would get discounted rates on APs. Does anyone know what the DVC renewal rate and regular DVC AP purchase rate would be? Do I have to call to get the DVC rate?

Perfect, thank you!

I just renewed our Gold passes at Disney last week. We decided after leaving that we want to go back to Disney between Christmas and New Year's. I know that this week falls during blackout dates. Can we upgrade our Gold Passes to Platinum, and if so, would it be a difference of $119?

Yes you can upgrade but you have to do it in person (unless something has changed recently) so that means no advance FP for your Christmas trip. With a gold pass you are locked out of making FP for blockout dates so you won’t be able to make FP until you arrive and upgrade.

We are at Vero and I possibly could stop by Disney on our way home, however our trip is waitlisted so I’m not sure the trip will happen. I wish there was a way to upgrade online. That’s a bummer!

You could purchase a 1-day ticket or any other multi-day ticket an add it to your account to allow you to make FP's, I think you just have to make sure the ticket is first in your que and allocate the Gold Pass to a dummy account.

Yes I didn’t suggest that because it is quite an expense but that would work. I don’t think they can move their gold passes but if they have regular tickets as well it should allow them to make FP. They just have to make sure they upgrade their passes prior to entry and have their tickets appropriately prioritized (or move the non AP to a placeholder profile once the AP is upgraded)

I just renewed my daughter’s platinum pass to gold and with tax it was $522.

I just renewed last weekend and had the same struggle.
I had to call to get the better rate. Aaaaand, they couldn’t find the better rate without me asking. So, don’t be shy!
