DVC AP Questions

Hi all, hoping someone can help with this because MS is slammed right now.

1.) If I buy a DVC AP online will I be able to link it immediately to MDE and book FPs? Or do I need to wait for the voucher to arrive in the mail before I can link to MDE? I need to book FPs Tuesday morning.

2.) If I buy a DVC for my 20yo daughter who is traveling separately from my husband and I - will she have any problems "activating" it when she arrives in WDW? She lives with us and has a driver's license to prove this, but she doesn't have a DVC ID card in her name (I can let her take my DVC ID card)?

1) if you're logged in to your MDE account when you purchase the AP (and you need to be in order to get the DVC rate), then the AP (voucher at that point) will automatically be linked to your account, and you'll be asked to associate the AP with a specific person. You'll be able to make FP immediately.

2) I don't have any personal experience with this. But I've read of others that have been able to do this with help from MS. I believe that a picture of the member id card and a note in the system from MS that the child would be activating the AP without the member present, was sufficient to get the deed done. You'll want to check with MS on the specifics.

I believe you can assign the AP to your daughter if she is a friend on MDE..
