My son, who lives in our home, recently bought a DVC contract and he does have his membership card. We are planning a trip next month; however, my son will not be going on this trip. Can we still take advantage of buying APs using the DVC discount if I bring my son's membership card? TIA

From the DVC Member Benefits webpage:

"Disney Vacation Club Members and their immediate family (living in the same household) are eligible to receive discounts on select new and renewed Walt Disney World Annual and Premium Annual Passes."

I bet he has to purchase one as well. Whenever I have purchased AP I as to present my membership card. Every adult had to show photo ID and everyone had to have the same address on the ID. This has happened when i purchased the AP online and received vouchers or when I purchased them while at WDW. Since your son is the member I am thinking he will need to be present in order to make the purchase.

Your son will need to be present. I purchased DVC before I was married. My husband is not on the deed and does not have a membership card in his name. When my husband gets an AP, I must be with him, present my membership card and ID and then he has to show ID indicating we live at the same address.

The same holds true whether we are paying at the window or buy the vouchers online and activate them at the park.

Talk to Member Services. This has come up before with children of members going on their own and they were able to work it out.
