I have looked around but I can't find the answer, sorry all. I am buying the DVC AP for the first time (We are from the UK and this is one of the few years we will need at as we are doing a week in March and 2 weeks in August). I won't activate it until March when I'm out there. So.....
Is this when the time starts on the pass or is it from when I buy today? If I haven't activated it, can I can still make FP against it? And do you have to activate at the ticket centres? And what happens with Magic bands?

Any help much appreciated....

It starts when you activate it, not when you buy it.

You would purchase now and link the confirmation code to your MDE account. That will allow you to book FP's at 60 days out. Then you actually activate it in March when you are there. Until then it just sits there like any ticket until you first use it, or with a pass until you activate it at GS or a ticket window.

Yes, you'll have to activate it before you enter a park. Magic bands won't be an issue. They will read that your pass has been activated.
