DVC AP benifits

What is the best benifit you have gotten using the DVC AP.Besides park admision?

Free parking at the theme parks when not staying on-site. TiW card for $75.

We don't pay cash for rooms nor do we purchase much merchandise so those discounts don't provide us much of a benefit.

That would work,
Only one person's name will be on the TIW card. That person will need to be present at the restaurant to use it.

You could also just get one AP and then the TIW card... it really depends on what your vacation will be...

Well, to be picky, the DVC AP's only perk is that it's cheaper than a normal AP.

Other than that, benefits are simply benefits of having an AP. Getting the TIW card for less than you can get it with DVC membership, the admission (and admission is ALWAYS the BIGGEST perk for us, even though you said except admission), discounts on merchandise...those are great benefits, but not special to DVC AP.

Valet Parking was not a benefit of having an Annual Pass, it was a member perk.

I don't know if this would be considered a benefit, but we renewed our AP within 30 days of expiring and Disney offers a discounted price when you renew. Additionally, we upgraded to a premium annual pass, since we plan on going to the water parks at least 2-3 times on our next trip. Even though our original AP was the standard AP, we paid the renewal price for the premium AP. This won't work for us the next time our renewal time comes along, but it was nice to save a little $$ this time.

One benefit of the premium AP we are excited about is the 20% merchandise discount. It's rare to get a 20 % discount, although I do remember a trip a few years ago when the Disney Visa had a 20% discount at the park stores.

This is from the Disney website in the section on merchandise discounts with annual passes:

Walt Disney World Resort Owned and Operated Merchandise Locations
Premium Annual Passholders are eligible to receive a 20% discount and all other Annual Passholders are eligible to receive a 10% discount on select merchandise purchases at Walt Disney World Resort owned and operated merchandise locations.
