Hi there, we are now AP holders and DVC members, and I am mulling over the idea of a TIW card. I think I will likely just have to review the discounts that each provide and cross reference etc to see which offers the better deal- but was wondering in anyone discovered a more practical or efficient way to ensure you are getting the best discount? (for dining)

Thanks!

The TiW Discount is 20% on meals and alcohol and is offered at about 100 locations.

The AP & DVC Dining Discounts range from 10 to 20% (excludes alcohol) and can vary based on meal. The AP dining discount can also be limited to weekdays only.

All discounts are subject to blackout dates (i.e. holidays).

allears has a chart showing the various discounts offered for AP, DVC & TiW (not yet updated for 2015).

Each trip brings its own set of dining reservations for us; we aren't creatures of habit, and that's especially so if I start going solo or with friends for "runcations" (my family are now OVER the runcation thing, LOL). So each time the list gets reviewed and compared to the allears page.

For our most recent trip, the few restaurants we went to were covered by the DVC discount, but the total wouldn't be enough for TIW to be covered on one trip, and we don't have another trip planned for a year. So the decision was made.

thanks for the insight to both of you-I'll review my restaurant reservations and see what the better discount option is -esp since TIW isn't free from the outset.
We are on site (BWV) for 9 days though and eating dinner out mostly between EPCOT and the Boardwalk so there are some savings to be had

Mouseperks.com has a lovely display of TIW, AP, DVC and Disney Visa discounts. I think they have an Android app but I have the mobile site bookmarked on my desktop.
