What is the best way to purchase our APs and TiW card?

We are not landing at MCO until late. I doubt we get checked in until 11:30 or so Friday night. Are these things I can order ahead? It sounds like with the TiW card, it activates the second I purchase it. Plus, I already need to have my AP in hand to purchase it. So, I assume I need to get it onsite.

Where are the best locations to pick these up?

Thanks!

Our trip was the beginning of December. I ordered our AP's in November and had the voucher mailed to my house. Our first evening there (Sunday), we went to guest relations in Epcot (I believe you can also do it in DTD) and exchanged the AP vouchers for the real thing and purchased our Tables in Wonderland card at the same time. Depending on when you leave, you may not have time to have the voucher mailed to you. In that case, you could order them before you leave and choose will call or just purchase them at guest relations. Either way, you can get the AP & TIW card at the same time. This was not always the case not sure when they changed things, but in the past you could not get the TIW (formerly DDE) card at guest relations. You had to pre-order the TIW (DDE) card then pick it up at guest relations.

TIW can ONLY be purchased at Guest Services now - there is no more pre-order of the card available. You can easily purchase both the card and your AP at any Guest Services, including the location at Downtown Disney. Be sure to have your photo ID and your DVC member card if you are a member and want to get the discount on the AP.

You can still purchase the TiW card by mail or phone. You do have to have a valid AP at the time of purchase.

I stand corrected. :) I checked All Ears and that confirms this is the case, although I was told by Guest Services that you cannot order it ahead of time. Figures. ;)

Check the times for Guest Services at Downtown Disney. They are typically open later than the outside Guest Services at the parks and may be open when you arrive at the resort. I assume you are doind ME. So, why don't you postpone checking in and heading straight to Downtown Disney first. This will allow you to hit the parks the next morning and not worry about standing in line at Guest Services.

When we went in October, we arrived later in the evening and thought we'd go to Epcot to activate our APs and then go in for a bit. However, the outside Guest Services had closed and the only Guest Services open was inside the park. The security guards wouldn't let us go in, even after we told them we just wanted to activate our APs. So, we jumped on the monorail and then grabbed a bus to DtD. We arrived about 10 minutes or so before Guest Services closed and were out of there in about 5 minutes.
