Where can I buy a DVC annual pass besides at front gates of the parks? Is there anywhere in DTD that might be open late where we can buy them?

I believe you can buy them at Guest Relations at DTD, however, I don't know how late they're open. I would assume they're open the same hours as stores, but, not sure. I'm sure you can get a phone number and inquire as to their hours. We usually just buy them at the International Gateway Guest Relations at Epcot. I find it's usually less crowded there, but, I'm not sure how late they're open either. I suppose it depends on park hours.

You can order them from the DVC website also, and they will be mailed to you in about a week. In that case though, you will have to activate them and get the real ticket for the voucher at Guest Relations before you go to the turnstile.

Guest Relations in DD is open the same hours as the stores - usually until 11 pm or so. I've gotten ours there and the CMs are so nice! My favorite GR office is the DD one.

Best wishes -

We usually go to DTD for them. But last time we went to the park that was having evening EMH, knowing they would be open late. Then we hopped in for a quick ride or two before leaving. So, that is always another "late night" option.

We still can't get them at a DVC resort, right? Or any resort for that matter, right?

Agree with Diana on line at the website.

Question: Can I get the APs on site at guest relations at the gate or DTD and show my DVC card and get the DVC discount or do I only get the discount if I buy through MS?

Thanks, I've been wondering about this.

Yes, you can purchase your DVC APs in person at guest services at any park or downtown Disney. Bring your membership card and a photo ID.

I head you can buy AP's through the DVC website. If I do that when will they start? the day the voucher is sent or the first day I use it at the park?

If you purchase a voucher, it must be turned in at Guest Services for the actual AP. Vouchers are basically the same as a gift certificate, of no value until they are redeemed. The AP use year starts when you redeem the voucher.

They have a little value, Chuck, you can log into the Passholder site on Disney.com with your voucher to see what current discounts are available. ;)

From your trip count down it appears as though you are going to WDW in 50 days; at this point, I would just wait and buy the passes at a GR either at DTD or at a park. You can not buy them at the resorts. If your trip was farther in the future, I would suggest purchasing them on line because you pay todays price but the voucher is good forever and is not active until the first park entrance. With only 50 days to go, the price of the AP will most likely not go up (it has always only goes up once a year and that has already happened), so you will not gain any advantage to purchasing the APs on line. Just wait until you get to WDW. We also find the GR at DTD to be the least crowded.
Have a great trip!!

I purchased my AP through the DVC website on 6/5 and the vouchers arrived in a week. :)

I bought our DVC AP pass online and waiting to receive them in the mail. I was waiting for a double/triple mile promo from Delta and got the triple mile promo this week so decided now is a good time to get them. Then I can pay off my credit card before our trip. Just feels better knowing that its paid for already. :thumbsup2

That's good to know. We might not go to WDW for a while. I'll just buy the vouchers now and get this years price. Thanks

Have a great trip!!

But if the OP buys now, she can also order the DDE card as soon as she gets the AP voucher. She could also wait until she got down there but if redeeming the AP voucher after business hours on a Friday, she would not be able to get even a temporary DDE id until Monday end of day.

The lost interest on 50 days would be overrided by the DDE savings in many cases I think.

Also I think that Golden Oldie who is the DIS expert on WDW tickets has reported that you should be able to buy APs or redeem vouchers at any ticket booth as well as at GS.

We always just redeem or buy at the park we're first going to and have seldom had much of a line. :confused3 Unless you're planning to go to DTD the first day/night I think it would eat up more vacation time than it is worth to make a trip over there. Finding a parking spot there could take longer than any line at GS in the parks that we've ever had. ;)

You could be tying up quite a sum of money using that strategy. If you think your next trip will be in maybe the first half of next year, I suppose it could make sense. :confused3 Who knows how much of an increase there will be though and it seems to usually happen in Dec or Jan so I would wait a while anway. If your next trip is further out, I would just save or invest that money.

New DVC member here - what is the price of AP'S through DVC? We would need 2 A and my dd is 10 yrs old, so I am assuming she would need an A too.

We bought 2 PAP's last June. With the Discount it around $830. So plan on about $1245. I they've gone up since then, but atleast it's a ballpark figure.
