I finally got to the Walt Disney World Ticket Store web site (via the members web site) but I don’t see any option to renew the DVC member Annual Pass. I see I can buy a new pass but see no option to renew the existing one. Can anyone give me advice on what I must do? The pass isn't up until 11/08 but would like to know how to renew the tickets before any announced price increase.

Over the phone: Call MS to renew.

In person: At any guest relations booth (parks or DTD). The hotels are supposed to be able to do this but I've had issues with them knowing how to apply the discount.

You buy the new ones through MS online, but you can renew on the AP website. Once you get your new AP, you need to go to the passholder website and register your card. It will greet you by first name and will note your expiration date. Once it's time to renew you can choose that option and choose DVC renewal. It's very easy to do as we've done it many times. Once you renew via the AP site, you get a printed confirmation sheet (with Tink on it). You take it, your blue DVC card, picture ID to guest relations and they will print your new card. Of course, as folks will tell you, you need to make sure renewing works best for you, which means that your new date is the expiration date of your current pass. We renew each year because it works for us as our pass always expires at the end of week one of a two week trip.

If you aren't going to get the most bang for your buck with your renewal date - then I would just order new passes and activate them when you go to WDW. Example - our AP's expired in Dec 07 - we weren't planning trips again til April'08, Oct '08 and (after the renewal expired) in Dec of '08 and March of "09 - so I got alot more trips in on the AP's by activating new passes in April '08.
