DVC annual pass question

We currently have AP's which expire 12/28. We went down for a long trip over NYE and will be down again for a long trip in June. We have another trip booked for 12/30 thru
1/10/22 and I am unable to make park reservations for them because we don't have park passes....We have never renewed before but because of park reservations this could be troublesome.
Advice please? What should we do so that we could make park ressies before renewal purchase time starts?

Renewal window is 60 days before expiration through 30 days after. I'd buy a regular ticket to make park reservations now and then upgrade it to the annual when I arrive for my vacation. You wouldn't lose the park reservations by upgrading.

If you have a room reservation that is after your pass expires, they will allow you to purchase the renewal now so you can make park reservations.

Yes, you can absolutely renew your AP now. I renewed last month for a pass that doesn't expire until May. You must call Member Services however - this can't be done on line.
