DVC Annual Pass Discount

Any word If and when Disney is going to offer a discount A/P to DVC'ers. Last year Disney offered the premium A/P for $399 and mine expires in April?

There is currently an on-going savings on both APs and PAPs for DVC Members:


What's unknown is if Disney will offer any additional savings on any passes or tickets anytime soon.

The $399 deal was in fall 2012. Last year it was $484 plus tax.

Our PAP will expire on May 30th and we hope there will be promotion offer to all DVC members this year . We plan two trips this year.

Ours expire in April as well. We have30 days afterwards to extend. I think I will ask bout those 30 days.

I just renewed my AP. I will not be activating it until September. IF (big if I know), but if a deal comes before the AP is activated, what do you all think the chances are of getting the lower price?

If you renew an AP, isn't it active when your old one expires? I didn't think there was a gap. Am I wrong?

If you renewed your AP, it is active. Renewal just adds another year to the existing AP.

I you won't use it until September, you should probably let the pass lapse and spend the extra $50 to buy a new one, rather than lose six months of value.

I am currently booked in June with a regular package deal. We put in an offer on DVC in March, so we know we won't be able to use the DVC until October, which is our use year. If we close before our trip in June, and we have our DVC member number, will we be able to upgrade our tickets to PAP's, upon arrival in June to make a return trip in the fall at the DVC member rate? I didn't mean to hijack this thread, but was hoping someone could help

Once you have your member information that is definitely possible. It may be close but definitely possible. We agreed to a sale in August and got our DVC info including our membership number mid October. Good luck and welcome to the DVC family!

Once a year I write DVC member services about not offering AP discount for DLR. I encourage my fellow members to write to DVC member services about perks/discount you want.

we're on our third trip with our 10 day NE tix with WP. It's important to note that on longer trips, we've bought APs. I'm sad they're gone, but it won't stop us from going, nor are we losing sleep over it.

DVC has no control over discounts offered by other Disney divisions. All they can do is ask.
