I sometimes feel like I get so much information from DVC that I can;t process it all. We had an AP last year (expires within 2 weeks) and got the renewal post cards in the mail. So I'm trying to debate the break even point. Do we get discounts on park tickets through DVC? Or just on the AP's?

Just on Annual Passes. Only other admission discounts currently are on daily admission to the Water Parks and Disney Quest.

I really wish there was a discount on tickets as passes don't work with us due to how we travel and we'd not as a general rule get more than 1 trip out of the passes.

However, you are probably in the minority in the range of DVC owners. I'm sure DVC sees it as no benefit at all to encourage people to travel LESS by offering something other than APs. Frankly, I LOVE the AP discount. It is so much better than what we had BEFORE they gave us the AP discount....That would be nothing!;)

There is no such thing as a "DVC Discount" related to any Annual Passes (No matter what Member Services says).

There are two separate categories (or price ranges) of Annual Passes. The lower price range is for Florida Residents and for DVC Members. And the higher price range is "Tourist", which is people who do not qualify for either of the other categories.

And of the six possible DVC Member AP types, the price difference from Tourist ranges between $115 and $149.

Regular and Premium Annual Passes have the same privileges, no matter which price range they are in.

Aren't we just talking semantics. Discount or lower price or price category if you are a DVC member you are paying a lower price than a "tourist" or you could even say a discounted price. Call it what you want DVC members pay a lower price.
