Do you have to be a DVC member to stay at OKW? Unfortunately, I am not a member but was hoping to stay there on our next trip. I didn't know if it was for anyone or just DVC members. If so, have you stayed there and what are your opinions? :confused3

OKW is available to non-dvc members through the central reservations office. Non-members who are willing to enter into a trusting relationship with a DVC member can also rent "points" (the member uses their points to make you a reservation) through the rental board here on the Dis.

We are DVC members and loved OKW. Its quiet and pretty and really feels like a vacation to us. We love the boat ride to DTD as well. We like the one bedroom villas over the studios. We appreciate having a washer and dryer in our room, the king bed, and the large spa tub.

Have a great vacation

You do not have to be a DVC member to stay at OKW. You can book direct through Disney or your travel agent. DVC members do not receive daily housekeeping....but you will if you are booking through Disney.

As for OKW....the rooms are the largest on property. Studios are the only ones with 2 queens and not a sofa bed. Lg kitchenette and bathroom
1 and 2 bedrooms are very spacious....pull out sofa....plus a loveseat and chair. Dining table, laundry room, lg jacuzzi and king size bed.
I could go on and on I love my 1 BR DVC:love:

The main pool is very nice with a great/fast slide. Playground right there by the kiddie pool.
Olivia's is very good and one of the best 1TS on property....IMO.
The CS food was cooked to order when I went...don't know if it was because it was off hours.
Any other questions....ask.
Happy Planning

We stayed at OKW our very first trip the WDW and loved it. Its fantastic for long and/or crowded trips. Its just the best place to unwind after all the hubbub of WDW. If only we'd bought into DVC back then.

See the [thread=1669863]Considering Renting from a DVC Member?[/thread] thread.

I've stayed there many times and loved it. It's very "laid back". I see you previously stayed at All Stars. One thing to be aware of - there's no food court. They do have a snack bar at the pool.

We just got back from OKW and LOVED it! :yay: We're a family of 6, so we really appreciated the extra space. Since the resort is more spread out, it feels less congested, so it's much easier to relax after a day of battling crowds at the parks.

Our 2 Brm suite was in good condition, the Turtle Pond quiet pool/snack bar was a 2 minute walk, and the Hospitality House about a 10 minute walk. Internal buses can get you there without the hike.

We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
