Hello: I was wondering if someone could tell me how to determine how many points for a week with an II resort? Are there point charts? If so, how and where do I find them. Thanks. Canadian tom

The point charts are in the Guide available on the DVC site. It shows what the points are for the varying levels of resorts. You can also play around on the II site to see the point requirements for specific resorts.

Wow for 10-20 point more per week you can get a 1 bedroom over a studio makes that decision really easy. It’s usually a little more than double for a DVC 1 bedroom over a studio.

DVC is very unusual in how it prices studios vs. 1BRs. Most resort systems have a much narrower distinction between the two. For example, Marriotts in Orlando charge about 1/3 more points for a 1BR than a studio. Most Wyndham Orlando resorts don't even have studios, and the one that does charges about 25% more.

Yeah, DVC's big jump is between studios and 1BR's whereas a lot of others are from 1BR to 2BR. While I doubt I will do any exchanges, that seems to be a reasonable value compared to DVC.

OT, but while we are on the subject of "DVC is unusual": Does anyone know of another system besides DVC where the lockoffs are not equal to the two sides booked separately?

I hadn't thought about it, but an interesting point. I'm guessing the two bedroom is a little less overhead (check-in, checkout, room checks, cleaning, two vs, one 'kitchens', etc) than the studio and one bedroom done separately?

Most systems don't stuff 5 in a studio.
