My family is going on the Fantasy in October. We are interested in booking a cruise on the Wonder in 2014. Should we book onboard or through DVC member services. We are planning to pay cash for the 2014 booking so we can use our points for a trip to Hilton Head during summer. Just wandering which is the best deal. Thanks:-)

On our last cruise they offered a 10% discount if you booked a future cruise before you left. They have a little area for nothing but future cruise bookings inboard the ship.

Book while onboard.

DVC is a middle man for DCL bookings and there is no benefit to book through them unless you are booking on points.

Besides the 10% discount, you have less of a deposit to give, and there's an on board credit for that future cruise!

We booked both of our upcoming DCL cruises while on board.

Also if you need to change your future cruise date they will let you and still get the 10%. We booked may 2014 knowing that we will not cruise until 2015.
