Dvc And Dme room ready

I know most of us have checked in early ( say about 7/8 AM not using DME ) at any DVC resort and do not get a room right away. That's fine. But has anyone stayed around the resort and saw a DME bus or 2 come in and some of those guests check-in and are giving a room right then? and you know it's the same type of room you requested. Just want to know if anyone has seen this happen?

On Mother's Day weekend, DH and I flew in on Thursday, and went to BCV early on Friday, around 9AM to check in. Our room wasn't ready, no problem, we went to AK. We knew DM and DSis would be getting to BCV around noon, and so we met them there. They were using ME. Their room was ready at noon, ours wasn't ready until around 2-3PM. We both had non-smoking studios.

It has often happened that our guests' studios have been ready before ours, I just chalk it up to the fact that we're the hosts and our guests get served first, but it really must be the luck of the draw.

I have no confirmed factual knowledge here, but I think that when you check into DME at the airport upon arrival, they "check you in" at the resort. We used DME on our last visit, arrived about 1pm at the airport and probably almost 2pm at the resort. 2 rooms both ready. It seemed like the rooms had been assigned as they didn't take long at all in choosing them and didn't offer any choices etc.

So I think it is a matter (possibly) of them knowing your arrival time almost exactly once you check in at the airport.
