Did anyone else have any issues making adr's last week?
A week ago yesterday was our 180 day mark to make our dining reservations. Like normal I called only to find they were updating the system (maybe it was Tuesday.. I can't remember
) Anyway - disney dining was able to see our reservation. They could see the dates we wanted at the different restaurants and what was available but when they tried to book the adr the system would not allow it.
I was told it was probably an issue with the fact that we only had one reservation number but 3 check in days (according to disney dining). We have a split stay and one day was waitlisted - so it was showing up as 3 check in days.
I spent over 5 hours on the phone with disney dining, member services and then even guest services trying to get everything straightened out. Everyone was incredibly nice, they tried their hardest to do everything they could but the computers would not budge. Finally a super lady from guest services took all the dates and times we wanted for the ADRs and told me she would work on it and call me back on Tuesday (today) of next week.
I kept trying in the mean time.. tried calling - nothing. I tried online - nothing. Until yesterday morning. I was finally able to book everything I wanted online using the check in day I should have been able to to begin with (our arrival day).
I get the phone call from the guest services CM this morning and she said I was not the only one with the issue and she apologized, said it was fixed and told me she was able to get everything I wanted. I thanked her, wrote down the adr numbers and hung up. I just didn't have the heart to tell her I had managed to get them all myself yesterday. I will compare the two (mine and hers) and keep what I want and cancel the others.
While the whole situation was really frustrating the fact that everyone was honestly very nice and very "disney" kept me from losing my cool.. and that wouldn't have helped anything anyway.
Just wondering if anyone from The Dis was one of the other people who had issues. And if so - hope it is all resolved for you and you were able to get what you wanted as well.
