DVC and DDP?

I was just wondering if anybody who stays DVC has booked the DDP with Member Services and paid for it before their trip using £'s? We were just going to book it and pay for it when we get there, but because of the poor exchange rate the DDP will cost us a lot more than it has done previously!

I think you book through ms but then pay for it in full at check in. I haven't heard that you can buy it in £'s before you get there but if I'm wrong I would be interested to know too

I have to agree with Mrs Hobbes - the only way for DVC guests to book the DDP is with MS, and you have to pay in full when you check in.

Hi, I did the DDP through DVC. I booked it with MS when I booked the villa and I'm pretty sure we just paid for it when we checked in.

If you have to pay at checkin why not get traveller's cheques or cash when the $ is higher then pay when you get there rather than credit card?

We wanted to pay before we got to OKW but we were not allowed to. It's pay at checkin only, unfortunately.

I was 99% sure that we would have to pay at check in as we have done this previously. I was just hoping that there was something that I had overlooked! Hopefully the exchange rate will improve before we go!
