We are finally booking our first trip as dvc owners. We are going in March. Previously when we were non-dvc owners we were able to book our disney hotel and airlines through disney. When I booked our ssr ressies I asked about airfare. I was told they no longer "do" airfare. I then tried calling normal disney line and asked if I could get park passes and airfare. I was told I can't get airfare unless I book a hotel. It seems absurd to me that I could book a $79 hotel room and they will help me get cheaper airfare but I can't own a dvc and get the same service??? They really had great prices on airfare - a lot cheaper than the airfare I was able to get!:sad2:

I am always able to get a cheaper rate doing it on my own. I usually book jetblue on its own website. You just have to keep checking the website and sign up for their site. I don't know who flies out of your area but try travelocity.com, travelzoo.com and they will send you weekly specials. Good luck

I don't think they can get cheaper airfare, they just know how to look for it. Do you belong to AAA? You can use their travel agent services. I've always booked airfare on my own. I use orbitz as a search engine but book with the airline directly. Orbitz does not have Southwest, so check them separately if they fly from your airport.

Never gotten a cheaper airfaire through Disney. I usually check out orbitz or kayak. Ditto on park passes, you can get discounts going through other sites.

Packages through the CRO office are packages negotiated between Disney CRO and the airlines usually.

DVC is not CRO. DVC does not have packages at all. You are not paying anything to book the room, unlike with CRO.

I don't know what part of Indiana your from but Indianapolis has some really cheap tickets. I shop online but book though a travel service. When I see cheap flights I call my agent. I like to use a agent because if there is a problem they can fix it. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the input. I never used Disney for airfare until we went this past February. I had planned on booking our trip first and then booking our travel. I had everything printed and when the cast member said she could see what she could do as far as airfare I was knocked off my seat on how much cheaper the identical flight/time I was going to purchase. I was told that Disney purchases so much that they can get it so cheap. Though we live in Indiana, we are close to Chicago and fly out of there. Unfortunately March is higher due to spring break. I was just disappointed I couldn't try it again this trip. Thanks again.. I will keep looking!!:surfweb:

Anyone know a trick to finding cheap airfare out of Dallas? I swear it must be the most expensive city to fly from, LOL. The only deals I find are to Austin, gee big help there.
