DVC Christmas Tree, Sharing A little DVC Holiday Magic!


Once again its time for the DVC Christmas Tree, Sharing alittle Magic.
We need A Few Wonderful DVC Members to Donate their Christmas Trees with our Wonderful DVC Members.

The Dates of the Tree passing are open from November 15 to Jan. 10th


I will except names,dates, and resorts up to Oct. 25th.

This is our 7th Year in Passing a Christmas Tree from
DVC Families to DVC Families, "Spreading a little DVC Holiday Magic".
Please drop the tree off on the date of your departure at 11am with the Bell service for the next family, also please cross your name off the list on the outside of the tree box. Also when dropping the tree off at the Bell service, please point out to the CM who the next family that will be picking up the tree. Pick up the tree at the Bell service day of arrival after 11 am. There will be a envelope for donations (in each tree box) for Shipping the trees to & from the resorts.

We are looking for DVC Families to donate a decorated tree, no bigger then 4 feet please, the perfect size is 2 1/2 to 3 feet. We need at least one or two trees per DVC resort, this includes HHI & Vero Beach.

In the past we have had up to 4 trees per resort.

You dont have to donate a tree, you are welcome to pm me with your ID name, resort your staying, and dates. I will do my best to get everyone in on the Magic.

When time gets closer you will pm me to confirm your dates,resort, at that time i will need you to pm me back with your last name.

I ask if you are staying in two different resorts that you only sign up for one stay, unless your dates are available when time gets closer.

I have a tree but I have a few questions. You said that people can put money in to have it sent back. My question is...will I get my tree back? The other thing is my tree is a 5 ft. I didnt know if that was too big.

will I get my tree back?

yes, families will donate money inside the tree box to help with shipping. the last family will take out only enough to ship the tree back to you and the rest of the money goes towards the shipping the tree down to the resort.

my tree is a 5 ft.

yes, we want to keep the trees smaller then 4ft. this way the families can take the tree out of the box all decorated
and wont have to spend time putting it together and decorating. we want to keep the tree small, not big and bulky for bell service.

I believe you would still have to use the AKL main building bell service for picking up luggage and etc., without any confusion we will keep it all the same. that will go for SSR & Tree house villas too.

Can you tell me a little more about the tree swap. We have been members since 1998 at Boardwalk. We will be spending this year at Disney and could be interested in donating a tree. We live in Maine so the warm weather will be nice for the holiday. How does this work? Do we ship a tree to the resort at a certain time? (UPS/FedEX or regular mail) How does the tree get mailed back? Do we prepare a prepaid slip? Can the tree be decorated with any theme? What is a good size of tree to donate? How much do people usually put in the envelope? We will be arriving on Dec. 18-Jan 1. We don't necessary need a tree for our whole stay, but would like it for xmas. I'm new to posting on the site, but have been reading the site for quite a while.

the last family on your tree list will ship the tree back

if you would like to do a pre paid shipping label. then the donations will be left inside the tree box for you.

What is a good size of tree to donate?

any tree smaller then 4ft. the target ones that are prelit that are 24" are great. and the price are around $24.

How much do people usually put in the envelope?

it all depends on how many families are on your tree list. there will be enough donation money to cover the shipping down and back to you.
