DVC 25th anniversary party at MK

I have to hand it to DVC last Thursday was an incredible event. I few things to remember if you are going on 3/3, pick up your bracelets at a DVC resort instead of at MK park, the process was slow at the gate and forced a wait in two lines, one to check in and one to get your bracelet. Those who had bracelets already were allowed in at 6:45. Plan for most of the park to begin closing at 8:30, food locations in all lands were wrapping up by this time. That being said, at 9:30 tables were placed outside of Fantasyland and Tomorrow land every 100 feet or so with Cookies, bags of lays chips, lemonade and water and the best; Mickey Ice Cream bars and other frozen treat items provided at freestanding ice cream carts. Overall all dark rides were open in fantasyland and tomorrowland, including Haunted mansion. No shows including laugh floor, stitch escape and belles enchanted tales. The best part of the night was the 11:30 fireworks, honestly I counted six songs and each ended with a grand finale, better than any New's Years Eve display. It truly was a 25th anniversary celebration. Thank you DVC!

That's awesome - I'll look for the You Tube posting of fireworks. Just wish there was some advance notice on this stuff so people could plan to attend. Great for everyone who happens to be there on the given dates.

How long was the wait for the Seven Dwarfs Mine train? we haven't been on that one yet so looking forward to getting on on the 3rd
We ck in at Saratoga springs on Thursday so how do we pick up the bracelets?

It sold out quickly so I guess they figured it was enough time.

The wait for the mine train was 38 min (timed by dh). We received our party bracelets at the check in lobby at SSR. One cast member was checking names off the ressie list and two others were putting on the bracelet. Hope this helps. It was a wonderful party, especially the fireworks and Mickey bars..have a great time.

Thank you what time did you you get your bracelet's?
Also seeing you to stayed at SSR how was the bus wait time going to MK and getting back to SSR?

Dawn98 I'm not sure when the resort started distributing the bracelets, we got ours around 7pm, as we stopped by after dinner. The line looked long, but we were thru fairly quickly. As for the bus wait, it was about 10 min wait at SSR for MK bus, we were in the Springs. The wait for return after the party was a bit longer 20+ min. The line was very long and they finally brought in more busses so we loaded 2 busses at a time.

We had a great time! we had so much fun! We can't wait until June for the Typhoon Lagoon We an one bedroom book at the Boardwalk. We had a room at SSR it was are 1st time it was nice we enjoyed all 3 pools, we had a 2 bedroom. I don't know if I would want to stay at this resort if we where going to the parks but if we where going to stay at Disney springs for dinner, show and clubs I would want a room at SSR.

Wife and I attended the Feb event. We could only arrive after 9. Check in went fine. Loved the event. Wish it had of been warmer. Fireworks were fabulous. We were staying at coronado springs and busses were not a problem. They were well organized as the event was. Thanks to DVC for coming up with the idea and to MK for putting it on. We appreciated it very much.

We were there for the Feb event and loved it. Lines were not long, lots of cookies and ice cream and greet fireworks.

I am sure MK management was more than glad to do it, since DVC paid for it. It was very expensive.

I too was at the Feb one. I just got my bracelet at the MK entrance. Zero problem One person checked me and my party in on a iPad, next person put the bracelet on, took about a min to a min and half. No biggie at all. Oh we got there about 8:30. Awesome that they had the free chips, and ice cream. fireworks were amazing.

We were at 3/3 event. It was awesome. The fireworks and music brought tears to my eyes. Loved the treats. Rides were fairly crowded around 10pm but we did get to ride some
of them. Felt very special. Thank you DVC!!!!!
