DVC $25 gift card referral "phone tour" promo

Did anyone try this yet? I referred a friend last weekend and our DVC guide, Susie. was not in. He was only on the phone for about 5-10 minutes and got a lot of information. Is this the tour? Will we get gift cards or does he need to speak with my guide to qualify? She has not tried to contact him. Thanks

You are allowed up to 4 referrals and my understanding is that they have to actually talk to your guide...the 2 people that I had call, my guide was not available either and they just left their phone number and got a call back to complete the tour.

Do you know if the people who call for the phone tour are under pressure to buy? I don't want to ask people to call if they end up receiving phone call after phone call. I know this is the typical Disney way, but I was just curious if anyone had experience with this promotion.
