Does anyone know if it is allowable to book two rooms at the same stay? We need to accommodate 15 people and trying to figure the best option.

If you have the points to make the reservation, you can do it.

You just need to have the names/addresses of those on the reservation. If you're not sure of the who/what/where, use your best guess and you can change it later.

BTW -- does anyone know WHY they request this info? I called to correct my brothers address so his luggage tags would be mailed to him (I had used an "alternate" address at the time of booking since I wasn't sure of his zip code) and they said the luggage tags would come directly to me for all 4 rooms I've booked. The CM did change the address for me, but she kind of acted like she didn't need/want to.

I booked 3 rooms last time we went. Our luggage tags all went to everyone's address that I gave them! When we checked in they also had seperate check-in documents for each room. We had 14 in our party. Have a great time!!

Yes, you just give them a name of a "lead" in the other room. For me the rooms are generally in my name and my daughter's name. Both rooms can't be in your name (at least they told me that). They will now put both rooms under the same confirmation number to help ensure that the rooms are in the same location.

I was just able to book 3 Value rooms at AKL. I needed the names and addresses of all party members. I booked at the 11 month mark on the exact day.

you only need one name for each room and you can add later. MS can't stop you from booking a room for 1 person even if it's a GV unless you don't have the pts.
I have a 2 bedroom and 3 studios at BWV for OCT and did not list all guests yet.:goodvibes
If the CM tells you they need all names they are wrong.

This was our experience as well.
You can list your name in both rooms if you need to but not as a lead on both.

Word of warning tho... you will not be able to check in to both rooms unless there is someone with you (18yr or older) that is listed on the reservation as staying in the 2nd room.

We had (2) 2 bedrooms at BLT on our last trip all reserved with my Dad's DVC points, but bc he wasn't staying in the 2nd room, CM would not let him check in to that room. It took some time before we figured out that I could check into that room since I was listed on that reservation. CM would not very helpful. Worst check in process ever.

Wow, so it's YMMV with CMs there too then.
When I checked in for our rooms (booked 2 rooms) this past december the CM was so kind and asked me if I wanted to have my name added to the other room and get the room key as well. My name was only on 1 of the room reservations and he let me check in on both.
Maybe I got a pixie dust or maybe because both my dad and I have the same last names that they let me?

I wanted to check in for both rooms earlier so we can request rooms that were close together.

every Oct I have 3/4/5 rooms and when DW and I get there I check in for all the rooms with no problems. I just hope that at least 1 room was ready so when everybody got there we could go to that room with bags and get other rooms later.

Have always booked multiple rooms for our big family trips with no problem. This year (in January) we had 3 studios at BLT. I did give them everyone's names and addresses and all luggage tags went where they were supposed to. Good luck!:goodvibes

We did 3 rooms last December with no problem except they wanted to put us all on the same floor near each other. Now I love my kids and grandkids but I had them put us on 3 seperate floors, newly weds on 3rd floor, grang children and their family on 4th floor and us on 5th. The CM's laughed when I said 12 hours a day together was enough. Everytime we walked past the front desk they called us by name and had a good laugh. It was a great vacation and I still think a good idea. It is the same reason when my daughter in law requests a 3 bedroom villa that I laugh. Occaisionally some alone time is good.
