I opened my DVA early this year as a way to combine my $50 gift cards into one number and then pay my DVC dues. I initially deposited $10 (via CC) to open the account and then loaded another $900 worth of gift cards into it. Within a week, I paid my DVC dues, using $900 of the $910 in my account.
In March, my mother and I decided to take a trip for F&W and we are staying at Pop Century instead of using DVC. I deposited another $150 and paid the room deposit using the account. I also deposited about $400 and bought a 6-day park hopper for my mother.
Because I opened the DVA and paid the $900 so quickly (before 120 days), I was not sure if I was eligible for the bonus. I was toying around with the site and found the "Request bonus" option. It let me request a $20 gift card and seemed to complete the process. Since they do not send a confirmation or have any other means to confirm that the request was completed, I am now wondering if I will get one or not. I honestly did not think I would be eligible (yet) because I used the $900 before the account was opened for 120 days.
Does anyone know if I should be looking for a gift card? I leave in a month and the $20 is not going to stop the trip
