dutch oven

I bought it from Lehmann's Hardware, in Pennsylvania. They have a web site.

It's great for soup and stew and swiss steak and chili and pineapple upside down cake on a camp stove and on your home stove too. nice even heat. but don't buy it if your range has a glass top.

I have 2 Dutchovens and one pot all made by Lodge. Lodge Their website has some instructions and recipes. I've never used mine on a stove....we only use them to cook over a fire or on top of a bed of charcoal....if using the dutchoven then depending on what we are making we put coals on top too.
For more recipes try this Boy Scout site MacScouter

We have a dutch oven that we always take camping. It's also a Lodge brand. We love it, but I don't cook in it at home. Just don't feel inclined to use it here.

whether it was camping or in the house......beef stew never tasted better then when it is done in a dutch over.....my moms is over 75 years old and it is fantastic.....I keep telling mom that I was going to keep that

I agree that it is wonderful for camping - my Girls wouldn't think of going camping without. Haven't tried it at home though. I do have heavier pots I use for those purposes.

If you're a camper at all (and I use the term camper extremely loosely) then this is a vital piece of cookware. It does take a little time though so you can't be in too big a hurry.

I don't have it handy but the BOY SCOUTS website has a million GREAT recipes for a dutch oven! I only use it camping and EVERYTHING gets cooked in it! I don't recall the brand name though:(
