So I'm just wondering here, does Dustin's decision to stay away from Old Key West make sense to anyone else? It's neither here nor there but whats the point of staying away from something so its always new? Is that not the complete opposite of the POINT of all things Disney? Just wondering.

Ok I watched the episode, but I'm still not sure what he was saying.
He does NOT want to visit Old Key West so Disney World always has something new? I wasn't really following his logic.
There's always going to be something new. idgi

Also, the thread title is misleading. I thought you had pics or deets of something else :rotfl:

I think he was just meaning he likes the idea that there's still something at WDW that he hasn't seen or explored yet. I don't think he deliberately stays away from OKW for this reason, but probably just hasn't gotten around to visiting it yet. And the fact that it's still something new and exciting for him to see is a plus.

I wonder if they build a new resort or DVC if he could keep that one as the not yet tried one and check out OKW

I understand the idea. But not sure I could hold up that

For a few years there was a ski trail on my local hill that I purposely avoided to say I had not skied everything (plus it was rarely open). I finally caved last year and skied it

I get it where Dustin is coming from. He just wants to keep something unexplored. To give him that sense of excitement and mystery. That's what I got from what he was saying. And he made it very clear this is on purpose and not just because he hasn't gotten around to it.

It's like the last present under the Christmas tree. You want to open it, but then again when you do, it's the last present and much of the excitement of the day is over.

I get you Dustin. I know exactly where you are coming from. Leave a little something for later...

:thumbsup2

I always choose to buy a souvenir that I really want. I do this so that there is always one thing that I can look forward to getting when I go back. So I kind of understand where he is coming from. Of course when I do this I run the risk of that item not being sold by the time I go back.

Makes complete sense. For me, it's Coronado. I don't actively avoid it, I just have never had a reason to go besides to explore.
